Outstanding A and AS Level Results

For the second year in a row, students at the Nottingham University Academy of Science and Technology (NUAST) have delivered outstanding A Level and Level 3 Vocational qualification results.

Students have achieved a 100% pass in all subjects with over 46 % of A level students having achieved A* or A in at least one subject and the A*-C pass rate is 84%.

Students studying vocational courses in Engineering and ICT have achieved remarkable results with the average grade being Distinction*. 91% of students have achieved a distinction or higher in the qualifications studied equivalent to an A or A* grade.

The value added score, the measure of achievement based against student’s previous performance at GCSE level is very high at 0.67 and will once again position NUAST as one of the top performing sixth forms in the City and County of Nottingham.

Individual students achieved some remarkable results.

Brothers Mohammed (18) and Mustaqueem (16) Shiffa have both been accepted places at the University of Nottingham after securing 3 A*s each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Mohammed is going on to study Natural Sciences and Mustaqueem Physics. Siobhan Thompson achieved 3 A*s in Chemistry, Maths and Physics and is going on to study Medical Engineering at the University of Leeds.
