    Year 10 and 12 parents are invited to meet teachers and tutors

    NUAST will be hosting a settling in evening on Thursday 5th October between 4.30-7.00pm for parents of year 10 and year 12 students.

    This is an early chance for you to meet your child’s teachers for an informal discussion about how your child is settling in and how they are doing in the first few weeks of their subjects.

    For year 10 students the appointments will be with their form tutor and will last for 10 minutes. Appointments for year 12 students will be with their subject teachers and last for five minutes. In some limited cases some year 12 teachers may not be available due to a...

  • NUAST celebrates its best ever GCSE results

    NUAST sees amazing individual achievements and strong overall performance

    NUAST is celebrating its best ever GCSE results with amazing individual achievements and very strong overall figures.

    NUAST students have achieved well above the national average across all subjects with Maths, Science and Engineering results proving to be particularly strong. Early indications suggest that NUAST will be in the top 20% of schools nationally for Maths and 80% of students securing a grade C or above in Triple Science. Engineering students achieved a 90% pass rate or better with 100% of students gaining an A*-B in Systems Control.

  • Midland Masonic Scholarship for Science and Technology

    A cheque for £2000 has been presented to NUAST to support students work.

    The Nottinghamshire Masonic charities donate some £140,000 a year to Nottinghamshire charities. To support the local economy the charity have launched a scholarship scheme to support local young people to pursue their career ambitions within Science and Technology. The scholarship will provide travel bursaries and support for work experience and educational visits.

  • Outstanding A and AS Level Results

    Students at NUAST have delivered outstanding A Level and Level 3 qualification results.

    For the second year in a row, students at the Nottingham University Academy of Science and Technology (NUAST) have delivered outstanding A Level and Level 3 Vocational qualification results.

    Students have achieved a 100% pass in all subjects with over 46 % of A level students having achieved A* or A in at least one subject and the A*-C pass rate is 84%.

  • Year 12 Enrolment 2017-18

    Information for all incoming Year 12's on enrolment

    A letter will be sent out this week to all students who have accepted a place with us containing details of how to enrol for the 2017-18 school year.

    Enrolment is a simple process of coming into school, confirming your identity and your GCSE results and filling in our enrolment and contact details forms, or bringing the completed copies with you if you collected them on induction day. You will also have the opportunity to confirm your options choices at enrolment and make changes if you wish.

  • Year 10 students from NUAST clean-up Dunkirk

    NUAST students have been involved in a community environmental project.

    On Monday the 12th .of June, 16 students from Year 10 at NUAST carried out an environmental audit in the streets around the Academy looking for issues affecting the local community. From the audit, they found items left from a recent disturbance, issues with overgrown weeds, litter and rubbish, such as bottles, beer cans and cigarette butts. All this information was passed onto the City Council Street Scene team who actioned it.

  • Ningbo Xingning School Visit

    Our exchange visits with our partner school in Ningbo, China will soon begin.

    On July 10th we look forward to welcoming the staff and students from Ningbo Xingning School to Nottingham to experience life in the UK and at NUAST. In return NUAST will be sending over 20 Sixth Form students to China in September. NUAST became linked with this 'sister school' in Autumn of last year and it is hoped that students and staff from both schools will benefit from this relationship for many years to come.

  • Internation Women in Engineering Day - TARMAC Event

    NUAST are very pleased to work with TARMAC support IWED event.

    NUAST are very pleased to be able to offer our students in Year 12 and 13 the opportunity to explore the range of career opportunities available within the TARMAC company.

  • DEADLINE APPROACHING: UCAS students have until MAY 4TH to make their choices

    Final decision deadline is approaching

    For Year 13 students who have applied to University the deadline to make your final firm and insurance choice is approaching.

    ALL students must have chosen their firm and insurance choice by 4th May. If you have chosen by then, UCAS will automatically decline all of your offers.

    If you are finding it hard to make a decision, please see Mr Edwards or Mr Wood and we will go through the options with you.
